Turn Left stopping when the first number comes to the mark the 4th time.
Turn Right stopping when the second number comes to the mark the 3rd time.
Turn Left stopping when the third number comes to the mark the 2nd time.
Turn Right past “0” until the dial comes to a complete stop.

Press the START button and punch in your code. The green light should come on and you should hear a chirp. Once you hear the chirp turn the knob to open.
Your safe is programmed with 2 user codes. The first one is 123456. The second one is 567890. You can change these codes to something that is easy for you to remember.
To change the first code 123456 to a new code, follow these simple instructions. (Make sure you have decided what your new code is before starting).
Press the “start” button.
Input your new 6-digit code.
Press the memory button inside the door. ( white or red square button)
To change the second code of 567890, follow these instructions.
Press the memory button inside the door. (white or red square button)
Press the “start” button.
Input your new 6-digit code.
Note that you can have both codes be the same numbers if you only want one combination in the safe.
***IMPORTANT***
You must do this with your door open. Once you have changed your combination, test it with your safe door open to make sure you have done it correctly. If you have any problems, please call our customer service department at 1-800-722-7233.
NOTE: IF YOU INPUT THE INCORRECT CODE FOUR TIMES THE LOCK WILL GO INTO THE LOCKOUT MODE AND BEEP CONTINUOUSLY FOR FIVE MINUTES. (DO NOT REMOVE THE BATTERIES). ONCE IT IS DONE BEEPING, YOU CAN INPUT YOUR CODE TO OPEN.
How to Change Your Batteries
The batteries are located on the outside of the safe in the slide compartment next to your numbers on the keypad. It uses 4 AA batteries. Simply slide the compartment open to change your batteries. Your code will remain in the safe even if the batteries run out!
Enter the six digit combination (in the gold envelope) followed by the pound (#) sign. Your safe comes provided with 1 9-volt battery. The lock manufacturer suggests you use 2 to operate your safe.
Make sure your door is open before you do this! Do not close your safe until you have tested your new code.
Press74*
Press the six digits of your original code, followed by #. Wait for the lock to beep 5 times.
Press 1 *
Press the six digits of your new code, followed by #. Wait for the lock to beep 3 times.
Again press the six digits of your new code, followed by #. The lock will beep 3 times.
If your lock sounds a continuous tone for about one second anytime during the code changing procedure, you have made an error. When this happens, the lock ignores your new code and reverts to the old one.
Make sure to record your new code as it will not be on file with Gardall Safe!
Remove the keypad from it's mounting base by pulling the top of the keypad away from the base at the top. Support the keypad so the wires which are attached to the circuit board are not pulled or stressed.
Remove both batteries.
Install the new Duracell batteries by pushing them directly into the battery
connectors attached to the keypad circuit board.
Align the spring clips with the receptacles in the base. Using steady pressure, push
the keypad housing back onto its mounting base. Please be careful not to damage
the wires when removing or installing the keypad!!
Check the combination at least 3 times before you close the door of your safe.

The combination for this safe has been randomly selected. Your combination is listed below. Compare the serial number on the front of your safe with the serial number listed below. If the numbers do not match, do not attempt to operate the combination. Please contact Gardall Safe at 800-722-7233 to assist you.
Test your combination several times with the door open!
Use the index mark located at the twelve o'clock position.
NOTE:
You should always turn the dial slowly and carefully. If you turn past a number in the combination while dialing, DO NOT turn the dial backwards. You must re-dial the entire combination.
Never force the handle to turn. If the combination has been properly dialed, the safe handle will turn easily. Trying to force the handle to turn after dialing an incorrect combination can jam the safe mechanism in the locked position.
Make sure the door bolts are fully retracted before closing the safe door. Closing the door with the bolts partially extended can also cause damage to your safe's operating mechanism.

PELASE NOTE:
If you input the incorrect code (4) times the lock will go into lock out. When in lock out the safe will beep continuously for (5) minutes. DO NOT remove the batteries let the lock beep.
